Worship and Learning at St. Mark

Holy Communion is celebrated every time we gather for worship - and at St. Mark all kids of all ages are welcome to God's table, AND are very involved in worship (by seeing, doing, learning, singing, praying, sharing!


reMARKable! Sunday School (age 4 through 6th grade) is offered on Sundays at 10:00am, September through May.  Our Children, Youth and Families ministry includes time for experiencing Christian education through a 'rotation' model using creative drama, games, crafts, and music to teach a Bible story or faith practice.
SPLASH! for Middle School students (grades 6,7,8) happens on Wednesday nights at 6:00pm, September through May.  This Confirmation ministry is a time for discovery, learning, listening, serving together.
High School ministry includes the "Rite of Affirmation of Baptism/Confirmation" for ninth graders, as well as other activities for all high school students throughout the year.
Lutheran Lakeside Camp is our Outdoor Ministry and Retreat Center on East Lake Okoboji in Spirit Lake, Iowa.  For more information, contact Rebekah Elder (stmarkfamilies@gmail.com)

Vacation Bible School is fun for all ages, children and adults, typically scheduled mid June each summer. For four weeknight evenings our children and youth join others from churches across Siouxland.  Each evening includes a meal, opening and closing worship, games, Bible story, and craft. This is a multi-generational event, bringing together parents, children, and youth from across Siouxland for 4 exciting days together!  For more information, contact Rebekah Elder (stmarkfamilies@gmail.com)

Faith Formation Committee works with the Children, Youth, and Families Director and the pastors in planning and implementing the program of education for the children and youth of the congregation. Thursday Bible Study meets at 9:30am year-around. A lively hour of conversation, support, and good food. All are welcome!
